Since the weather has been summery, my boyfriend & I decided to try out the Espresso Mud Pie recipe we’ve been eyeing for a while.
There are 3 parts to the mud pie: ice cream + ganache + crust.
We decided to make our own homemade Espresso Gelato with Blue Bottle coffee grounds.
(Ps, did you know you can make ice cream at home WITHOUT an ice cream maker? All you need are two bags of salt water in freezer bags + your ice cream base!)
I wish I had a photo of the pieces when they were cut & topped with whipped cream, but we were too excited to eat our tasty treat!
