Meet our beyond-adorable nephew, Tommy.
Last Saturday, we celebrated this little one’s first birthday with robots, primary colors, barbecuing, fun in the sun, and lots of cake!
We made these robot centerpieces by wrapping paint and soup cans in aluminum foil (for the bodies and heads), adding pipe-cleaners for arms, embellishments and antennae, and using Sharpie markers to decorate them. And, of course, you can’t forget the most important part – googly-eyes!
We also strung this banner that said “Happy Birthday Tommy” in a special robot font! Balloons and streamers in red, yellow and blue surrounded the area and the breeze really brought them to life!
We made labels for the food that included things like robot fuel for drinks, axles and wheels for hot dogs and hamburgers and computer chips for the chips served.

All in all, it was a great day at the park! We had so much fun making the party! But really, who wouldn’t for a little one like that?
